TOP 10 Tips for Attending a Bridal Show

  1. BRING YOUR FIANCE, PARENTS, AND/OR BRIDESMAIDS. They can help you cover twice the ground and offer opinions about the choices of which Wedding Experts are the best for your needs. (Note: About 30% of fiancés attend, in spite of what yours may assume!)
  2. PLAN TO SPEND AT LEAST TWO HOURS so you can visit all the Wedding Experts and see the dresses that will be displayed during the roving style show. You will kick yourself if you don't: nowhere else can you get as much done in as short of period of time.
  3. BRING PRE-PRINTED ADDRESS LABELS. Many Wedding Experts hold drawings for trips, prizes, and discounts: your labels save you from repeatedly writing your name and address.
  4. BRING YOUR CHECKBOOK if you might want to book services or hold dates with a deposit. The top photographers, caterers, florists, and DJs book up quickly. (Note: Check refund policies and read contracts carefully before giving any money.)
  5. BRING YOUR CALENDAR. You will probably find Wedding Experts with whom you would like to schedule a one-on-one consultation.
  6. ARRIVE WITH A PLAN. Know what you are looking for and have questions in mind. You will save time and you will see everything that's important to you.
  7. WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES. You will stroll many aisles as you seek out the ideas, people, products and services you'll soon need.
  8. WHEN YOU REGISTER AT THE DOOR PRINT NEATLY. Prize winners are often chosen at random from the registration form: make sure your vital information is legible.
  9. BRING A DIGITAL CAMERA.  Attending a Bridal Show is quite an experience and can be a little overwhelming with all the information you will receive.  Capturing the most important elements of the show on camera will help you remember what vendors you liked, dresses you would like to try on or simply just ideas that you can incorporate into your own wedding day.
  10. ASK QUESTIONS! The vendors are there to help you. You are under no pressure to buy from them, so find out everything you need to know.
